As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I work with pregnant and postpartum women as they embark on their journey to motherhood. The transformation from woman to mother is a profound emotional and psychological undertaking, one that involves so much more than the physiological growth of a new life.
The transition that women and their partners begin from the moment conception is realized is one involving ever shifting hormones, high and low emotions, doubts, anticipation and many unknowns. Once baby has arrived, even more is required to provide the secure foundation your infant will need to grow and thrive.
In working together, I support the mother-to-be, new mother, and new family unit in creating the family they want from a clinical and child development perspective.
